Receiving Your Cargo

Receiving Your Shipment

How do I know when my shipment will arrive?
You have two options: Either the shipping agent will contact the Notify Party mentioned on the Bill of Lading (B/L) regarding the arrival, or you can reach out to the shipping agent on your end about a week before the expected arrival date of the shipping vessel. Remember to wait until about a week before the ETA to contact them for accurate information.

Documentation

What documents will I receive from Lyca Motors for my shipment?
As an importer, you should expect to receive the following documents from us:
Bill of Lading (B/L)
Export Certificate (also known as "Deregistration Certificate" or "Cancellation of Registration" form)
Commercial Invoice
Additional Documentation (if applicable)
Inspection Certificate (if applicable)
Export Permit (also referred to as "Bill of Entry")

Can I review the Bill of Lading (B/L) information before you send it?
Absolutely! We will upload a PDF of your B/L and other documents to your Customer Access Portal (CAP) for your review.

Can I request changes to vehicle information on the B/L or other documents?
No, unfortunately. Changing information on the B/L or any other documents we provide is against the law. We maintain a strict policy against engaging in illegal activities.

Documentation for Customs

My customs office needs a packing list. Can you provide it?
We don't offer a separate packing list, but our Commercial Invoice includes all the necessary details. The information typically found on a packing list is included on the commercial invoice. There's no need to worry – using the commercial invoice has proven to be trouble-free with customs authorities in the past.

Can I track the documents you send me?
Certainly! We'll provide you with a tracking number once your documents are prepared for dispatch. You can use this to keep tabs on your document delivery.
